The Art of Collaboration is a citizens organisation where people & relationships matter. We are an interdisciplinary group and our people are from the worlds of Music, Education, Mental Health, Science, Engineering & Design. We are a collective of thought-leaders, interested in the nature, qualities and experiences of collaborative practice and what can be learned from these understandings. We offer individuals, teams and organisations a unique experience of co-creativity and integrative collaboration involving artists and musicians. Participation is facilitated by music, the arts & the natural world, where we explore the complexities of working and living together.
we had the pleasure to be coached by Paul and I thoroughly appreciated the work we did together. I
particularly like the space he is creating with his presence, his calm voice, and his groundedness. I highly recommend Paul as a coach.
Working alongside “The Art of Collaboration” has been a hugely informative and rewarding process. Technology greatly enables business organizations, NGOs and governments to collaborate across teams, countries and cultures from a functional perspective. However, the way in which musicians collaborate to create and play music can better inform project development and collaboration well beyond the world of the music and arts. Content or product creation or simply better listening to other stakeholders is a process akin to a music collaboration or performance. Both require good and sensitive listening skills, an ability to let go of preconceptions and a necessary amount of wit! Paul and The Art of Collaboration bring a delightful understanding of that to their performance based work and their workshops. It has been a joy and an education to work with them.
I very much enjoyed hearing The Art of Collaboration at both the Hugh Lane Gallery and the Civic Theatre Tallaght. Apart from the absolute beauty of the music, I came away with a feeling of having been more than entertained. The shape of these performances transmitted the musicians and speakers’ curiosity about life, love and hope to the audience. They left me with a feeling of having been challenged and cared for at the same time. A most unique experience!
